OnQ v2 / System 21

Our support for System 21 includes BOTH pre-printed and electronic forms. The pre-printed form is just a standard, Hilton approved, folio/registration stock. Electronic forms allow the printer to be loaded with generic stock or plain white paper and to print the form image, includeing logos, at the same time that the guest data is printed. Registrations can be printed on plain paper or on our patented (US Patent No. 6,901,370) Registration/Keypacket stock which foldes into a keypacket and reduces the cost of quality key presentation. Support for eForms in System 21 has now been deployed in co-operation with Hilton Information Technologies via our proprietary e-Forms font.

NEWS!

To reduce the need for chip swaping in the future, we are now providing a new device called the "BOX" instead of chips. The BOX can be updated at your locaton by simply copying a file we provide out to the BOX. All furture installations will be provided the BOX instead of chips.

Hotels being updated to HP Laserjet 2300 printers: Any chips you already have for the 2200 WILL work in the 2300. Just move them over. If you have chips for any other type of printer, you will have to purches new chips (or BOXs) at full price.

The current System 21 version is 2.11; Eforms support for Registration Card Key-packets, Guest Folios, Express Checkout and Zip-Out Check-Out® Folios, AR Statements, AR Invoices, and Collection Letters are now included in System 21.

Troubleshooting Common / Known Issues

Background Information:

The makers of System 21 (Promus) were acquired by Hilton Hotels and are being integrated with Hilton Information Technology. System 21 is being modified to support the Hilton Hotels.

Electronic forms integration for Laser Printers is accomplished by installing a special font into the Windows Printer driver and making use of that font in Crystal Reports by adding a text field with nothing more than a period selected to print in that font. The Letter Head eForm (ID number 91) can be used in application such as Microsoft Word.

System 21 runs in Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server and Workstation and uses Crystal Reports version 2.0 to define and place data on its forms.  The Crystal Reports file that define the forms layout are stored in the Program Files/promus/hmsic/reports directory on the work stations and in the Reports directory on the server which is seen by the workstation as \\<Hotel Code>Server\Reports. On the server this folder is usually the D:\HMSII\Reports folder. Some reports are printed from the .rpt file on the workstation but most seem to print from the files on the server.

Technical Support is available from our offices at 1-888-337-2776 during normal business hours. Emergency support is available after hours by calling James Newton's Cell Phone at 1-951-634-9492.
