System 21 v 02.09

In this version of System 21, Zipout or Express checkout printing can be supported by setting one printer up as the "backoffice printer." All folios printed to that printer will be printed on the zipout / Express checkout form.

If you have been supplied with an installation CD, insert it at any workstation where you are signed in with admin permissions. The CDs on-screen documentation will auto-start if that option is enabled at the workstation. If not, the CD on-screen documentation can be started by clicking on Start \ Run \ Browse, then pull down the look in list and click on the drive with the CD drive icon (). In the File Name field, type Start_Here.htm and click Open, then Ok.

Your web browser will open and display an opening screen with a list of hotel types and System 21 versions. Click on the list item that matches your property and software version. The on-screen version of the Installation documentation will be displayed. Follow the steps as directed to install e-Forms. You may find it more convenient to print each step and follow the printed page while working on screen.

Installation Overview

Electronic forms are delivered on "chips" that hold the forms image for folios, reciepts, registration keypackets etc... Before integrating electronic forms, you must, order, approve, recieve and install the e-Forms "chip" containing the image of your forms into each of your laser printers.

Integration of e-Forms is accomplished in 4 easy steps:

1. Install an updated e-Forms capable printer driver.
2. Install the e-Forms fonts.
3. Configure System 21 to use the new printer
   (these three steps are repeated at each workstation where e-Forms will be printed and should have no effect on operation.)
   
   This version of System 21 supports the folio without need for further effort. Registration slips and Registration Keypackets, as well as AR Statments must be installed as per the instructions here:
4. Backup the existing report format files and copy new e-Forms enabled report files onto the server.

Typical installation will require about 90 minutes for the average property.
