Password.value Property---user input to the Password object

Navigator 2.0, Internet Explorer 3.0; enhanced in Navigator 3.0 when data tainting is enabled

Synopsis

password.value

Description

The value property of the Password object is a string that specifies the password entered by the user, and is the value sent over the Net when the form is submitted.

For security reasons this property may not be read or written in Navigator 2.0, or in Navigator 3.0 when the data tainting security model is not enabled. In Navigator 3.0 and later versions, when data tainting is enabled, this property may be read, but may not be set.
