Pre-Install check list

Prior to installing e-Forms, please take the time to review these few items.

1. What printer models do you have and what workstation are they connected to (look at the printer cable from the back of the printer and see which computer it leads to) Write down the workstation and printer names.
    
2. Verify that e-Forms devices  (see http://www.efplus.com/mssinst.htm) have been installed at these printers

   Do not install the e-Forms chip for the IBM IP 21 inside the printer. It will only work when inserted in the slot in the back as per the installation instruction on the web site. Installing this chip inside the printer (under the side panel) will result in the forms being erase from the chip and require that they be manually re-loaded.
    

3. If you have selected the Registration / Keypacket combined form rather than simple Registration Slips, verify that all the printers which will print registrations have been upgraded to laser printers and fitted with both letter and legal sized paper sources. For the laser printers commonly used at the front desk, place the legal sized 32-14 stock in the pull out tray and the letter size paper in the front pull down tray or in the second (optional ) paper feed tray #2.
