Celia Tolar Bane remembers going to visit "Aunt Daisy" on the farm near Red Springs, NC. She lived in a delicious-smelling old farmhouse, and after "dinner" was eaten in the middle of the day, the serving dishes of leftovers were left dining room table and covered with a white tablecloth so that if you visited in the afternoon, there were always leftover biscuits and fried chicken and other delights! +
