FUND-RAISING

Fund-raising plays a very important role as Music Booster members. We provide for many program enrichment items such as clinicians, accompanists, staff advisors, new uniforms, new instruments, competition and entry costs, awards, etc.

Prior to our Participation in any fundraiser, careful consideration is given to the successful history of the activity and the capacity to generate funding with minimal involvement of people power. All fundraising monies stay directly within the music Department programs.

General Account fundraisers support the General Budget's costs. These may include the ~ap bootk First Night, Adult Ed Snack Bar, Christmas Parade concessions, Memorabilia sales and Color Guard Competition.

Student account fundraisers provide the opportunity for students to earn money directly to their accounts. Such anticipated fundraisers include candy sales.

50/50 Fundraisers split the profit earned between the General Fund and individual group accounts for those who participate. These include Scrip purchases, Westfield Works Wonders, and Color Guard Competition program advertising or sales of other items as voted on by the General membership.

Special fundraisers may be called as the need arises.
