PCL PAGE MAXIMUM PRINTABLE AREA LEGEND: Ec = [Ctrl] [P] [Esc] is DOS EDIT The maximum printable area can be used by adjusting top and bottom margins so that the distance between the physical page and the first line of text is 1/6 inch based on six lines per inch. The left and right margins have a default 1/4 inch and can only be adjusted using long edge offset registration. EXAMPLE OF MAXIMUM TOP AND BOTTOM MARGINS EcE Reset Ec&l0O Portrait Orientation Command Ec&l1E Top Margin of 1 line Ec&l6D Line spacing, 6 lines per inch Ec&l64F Text Length 64 = number of lines before page ejects NOTE: Avoid setting the top margin or text length to values outside of the printable area as this may cause data loss. If line spacing is adjusted, text length will need to be adjusted accordingly. PERFORATION SKIP The perforation skip command [Ec&l0L] can also be used to disable any top and bottom margins and obtain the maximum PCL page. However, this is not the recommended method as data loss will occur unless a form feed is sent at the end of each page and a cursor position is used for the line at the beginning of the next page.
