First, verify that you have recieved a case marked "EMERGENCY PAPER, NO CHARGE" which is a little taller and not as deep as the registration key-packet paper. One box of this paper is shipped with EVERY order at no cost. It is to be used if your electronic forms, or laser printers stop working for any reason.
Next, install the box or chips in the printers using the instructions under http://www.efplus.com/mssinst.htm "Installing EFPlus.com eForms device."
To find the System 21 version number, please click on Start,
Programs, System 21, Front desk then pull down the
Help menu (not "Coach") and select About System 21
Front Desk. Look at the Application version number in the lower
left area of that pop-up. Select the matching version from the list below.
This information is optional and is provided for those who would like to be more informed. For the quickest installation, simply select your version of System 21 from the list above.
After performing the installation steps, laser printers connected to workstations that are set for eForms will print the forms you have selected on plain white paper (or reg/keypacket stock) and will no longer require pre-printed forms. Existing non-laser (impact) printers or laser printers without eForms installed will continue to print normally.
Paper tray selection and loading varies from printer to printer. For up to
date recommendations for configuration and use of your printers, please visit
our web site at

One of the most important benifits of electronic forms is the ability to update the form image without throwing away pre-printed forms, waiting for the paper form stock to be depleted or paying for new paper forms to be printed in economical quantities. Contact Electronic Forms Plus (toll free 1-888-227-3776) for more information and pricing.
In any case, the e-Forms chips can simply be reprogrammed and exchanged. For some printers (including any printer using the SmartBOX or the IBM NP12 and IP21, and the HP LJ 4, 5, 4000, 4050, and 4100) e-forms can also be updated in place by copying an email attachement to the printer from the command prompt.
If the electronic form image stops overlaying on the paper, use the generic preprinted forms supplied with your initial eForms order. This paper is in a case marked "EMERGENCY PAPER, NO CHARGE" which is a little taller and not as deep as the registration keypacket paper.
When using the generic "emergency" pre-printed forms provided in case of any trouble with electronic forms (e.g. when a printer is replaced and the service person does not move the eforms chip into the replacement printer) ensure that the hotel name, etc.. will be printed by checking the box "Print Hotel Address, Phone and Fax on receipts" in the "Database Maintenance" screen.
Contact Electronic Forms Plus (toll free 1-888-227-3776) for assistance in restarting electronic forms printing.
If there are any problems or concern on the part of technical support that the e-Forms installation might be interferring with System 21 operation, the changes can be reversed easily and the backup pre-printed laser forms provided by EFPlus.com can be used until the issue is resolved.
Simply
When you are ready to return to electronic forms, simply repeat the e-forms installation steps.
